Teens In Praise
MissionThe purpose of the Teens-In-Praise is to be a positive example to teens in the church and community by effectively glorifying God by sending up unadulterated praise.
Motto"Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the work of life in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing."
-Philippians 2:14-17 (NIV)
HistoryThe choir has been in existence well over ten years, but has had only 9 noted anniversary celebrations. Several present choir members have had family sing on the past Teens-In-Praise. The choir has been under the direction of Mrs. Michelle Wright for well over 10 years.
To become a member of the TIP you have to be at least 12 years of age, or as a graduate of the Brookland Baptist Church Youth Choir. You may be either a full or watch care member of the church, but that is not mandatory. You must also have a willing attitude and enduring spirit when it comes to working hard during rehearsals and Sunday morning services. You may sing as a choir member until you are 19 years of age.
RehearsalThe TIP currently rehearses every Monday at 6:30pm. Other rehearsals may be called if needed.
