Q:

How can I become a member of Brookland? 

A:

"For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us…"
(Romans 12:4-6a).

Brookland is a vibrant, growing congregation in the West Columbia / Columbia and at our new Northeast / Columbia location committed to winning more souls for Christ. We hope that you will consider joining us to help in the building of God's kingdom as you grow and develop spiritually. 

Membership in The Brookland Baptist Church begins with accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. We believe strongly in the Letter to the Romans which says "That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (10:9). In order to obtain full membership at Brookland Baptist Church, you must complete the following steps: 
1. Publicly join our congregation during one of our Sunday morning services. This public acknowledgement can be confirmed through Baptism, Christian Experience or by Letter of Transfer from another Baptist congregation or by a Rededication of your life to Christ. 

2. Be baptized; if required by (full body emersion), if you have not been so baptized.

3. Complete the New Members Classes:

4. Receive the "Right Hand of Fellowship" 
Once you have completed all steps, you will become a full member of Brookland Baptist Church. All Brookland members are encouraged to join one of the 60+ ministries the church offers for all ages.

How can I get more information about joining a ministry? 

A:

Brookland has more than 60 + ministries to meet the needs of our church family. Simply contact the church office for contact information on any ministry that interests you; (803)796-7525.

Do I have to be a member of Brookland to join it's credit union? 

A:

The Brookland Federal Credit Unions membership requirement is that you or a member of your family be a member of Brookland Baptist Church. So any family member of yours that is a member of Brookland can refer you as a member. For more information please contact the credit union at 803-794-9201

It's such a big church; how can I fit in? 

A:

Here at Brookland, we’ll make sure the first face you see when you approach the church has a smile on it. Whether you need childcare or are looking for a place for your teens, a greeter will be nearby to help you get where you need to go. We welcome you to worship with us each Sunday at ether our 8:15 am or 11 am services or at Brookland Northeast our 10:00 am. service.  We believe your entire family will be encouraged in the Lord. Their are opportunities for each member of your household to enjoy themselves as they encounter God through the Bible and other people just like you.
